Before school in the morning, I found myself always needing to remind everyone of the time about ten minutes before it was time to go.  At some point, I got smart, grabbed my audio recorder on my Ipad and created a few ten-minute long audio files. 

Then all I had to do with set an alarm to start the audio – blasting it through the house. 

At ten minutes, they started with “10 more minutes………start your final preparations – you only have 10 minutes left!”

Then at nine minutes, maybe I would sing a fun little ditty about nine minutes. 

And so on….

It was a hit.

The kids even got into helping me record them.  We had serious ones for serious occasions and fun recordings for more whimsical times.
